We took the boys to see Santa! Surprisingly, neither of the boys were scared of him--they just wanted his candy canes! Sully loves Santa these days, so he was an easy sell. It's much harder to get a good shot with 2, so this is the best we could do. Santa's looking great, isn't he!? Gotta love the free Nordstroms Santa! And he's so good with the kids :) Happy Holiday, everyone! Or should I say, "Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!"

Liam Laughing (And Almost One!!)
Liam is almost one! He's walking around all over the place now--boy are our lives changing quickly!! We're having a little Birthday party for him at our house this weekend. I can't believe my baby is one! Though I'd like to get back to work and don't feel we can afford another; this really doesn't feel like my last baby.
I really got him laughing last night, so here is a cute video of him.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! Here's a little song Sully likes to sing, "Gobble, gobble said the turkey. Soon will be Thanksgiving Day. How will you treat me? Will you eat me? I will run away."

Liam Walks!
For the past couple of weeks, Liam has taken steps when we've prompted him. However, today it has actually happened! Liam has begun taking steps on his own. As the day wore on, he got more and more adventurous, going longer distances and turning around. So, without further adieu...

Silly Sully
Our two year old has come up with some pretty funny things to say. The latest and greatest...
Each time he goes, "number two," he gets up, looks at it and declares with pride and excitement, "Oh! A sausage poop, and a pancake poop!"
Where do they come up with these things? So funny!

Halloween!
Here they are, the Fire Fighter and his dalmation dog! So cute, so much fun! Sully loved trick and treating and pushing Liam around the neighborhood in the wagon. Next year maybe he'll get the timing right! This year, it sounded a little like this:
Sully: (knock, knock) Trick or Treat!
Neighbor: (answers the door) Well hello!
Sully: (trying to enter the house) Hi! Happy
Halloween!
Neighbor and Mom and Dad: (attempting to lead Sully
back outside)
Neighbor: (Gives treat)
Sully: Thank you!
So funny!!
Liam at 10 Months
Okay, it was 3 weeks ago, but here it is! New tricks include standing unassisted, tackling his big brother (and thinking this is terribly funny!), and sporting six teeth! And the biggest trick of all...SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT--HALLELUJAH!! It's so exciting to get better sleep at night and become a bit more productive during the day!! Liam's personality is beginning to shine. He's a bit of a toughie and definitely a ham! The first shot is Liam doing the, "toughie smile" he just so happens to be eating spaghetti. The second is just a nice smile. The third is this silly thing he does with his tongue covering his upper lip--so funny!

I think I can, I think I can...
Sully insisted on riding his big boy bike to the library today. The last time he rode it, he became quite upset when he fell (guess he didn't know that could happen until then). While riding today, I heard him talking to himself, "I fine. I not going to fall. I okay. I riding slow," over and over again. A regular Napoleon Dynamite!

Deep Thoughts From the Sully
As Mom got ready to go out for the evening, Sully threw his arms around his Mother declaring, "Mamma snukle you!" while snuggling, Sully touched Mommies lips, "What's dat?"
"That's my lipstick."
"Why you have dat?"
"It looks nice."
"You don't look like garbage."
Gee thanks!

Sully Want to Go Outside
Sully woke yesterday and told me right away, "I want go outside!" I told him that we would have to go potty and put some shoes on first. I went to begin getting some breakfast together. A few minutes later, Sully came into the kitchen wearing (only) a shirt...and shoes, proclaiming once again, "I want go outside!" I asked him if he went potty and he shook his head yes. Looking at his bare bottom, I asked him if he forgot something and needed to put something on before we went outside. He smiled, knowingly, and answered, "Sunscreen!"
The Rap Card from Grandma
Sully got this funny singing card from Grandma that he LOVES dancing and rapping to.

My Little Project: Part 2
I decided to do this little project where each year I take a picture of Sully in the same shirt. When he is grown, we can look back on how he has changed and grown each year. So....here's numbers one and two!
BTW the white thing in background is Sully's undies. The shirt was so big that he finaggled his undies off without me knowing until it was all done!!

Sully's Birthday
A fun time was had by all at Sully's second birthday party! Among the honoured guests were close family and friends. Lots of kids came to enjoy Sully's new swing set. Mom made baseball and bat cupcake-cakes (lot's of cupcakes strategically arranged and frosted as one big cake). Sully learned to say, "I'm two!" and "I want beer," as well as to sing, "Happy Birthday." (We didn't give him any, by the way--beer, that is. Who taught him that anyway?!!)
Erruption!!
Liam's first tooth has finally erupted!! Yay!! Now Pat and I don't feel quite so crazy as he's been up almost every hour the last few nights :( No pics yet as the tooth is too small. We can just feel the little ridges of that baby peeking through. Upon further inspection, a small slit and some teeny white bumps can be seen on his bottom gum in front. What a mile-stone!! Yay Liam!

Almost crawling!!
Liam is almost there!! It's really funny when he gets on all fours, then flexes his feet up on his tippy toes. It looks like he's trying to push himself up to standing to move.
New Swingset!!

Broke!
While puttong on my P.J.s tonight, Sully pointed between my legs and said, "pee, pee!" I told him that indeed, I did not have a penis. To which he replied, "broke." Very funny.

Easter, St. Patty's and Pat Gone :(
Pat is in South Carolina doing some water emergency training. The boys and I have been having lots of fun at home, though missing him terribly!
Sully really got into the St. Patty's Day garb.... after removing all his clothing!! He's really started talking more, saying, "Andrea and Josh," "dog fall," and, "mamma shoe on/off." It's really amazing how fast they grow and how much he's probably been understanding all along and just now can vocalize it!
We had fun putting Liam in the Easter basket naked! He really liked exploring the grass! How could anyone resist those pudgy little, "man-boobs"? Sully loved finding all the eggs hidden around the house (and shoving as much candy as he could possibly fit in his mouth at one time followed by choking and spitting it out....over and over!!).
Hope all had a safe and happy holiday!

Go Pat!
MADD recently nominated Pat for an award for all of his work getting and keeping drunks off the roads. Pat has been working really hard on this! He's been working with a program for repeat drunk driving offenders, picking up extra shifts specifically targeting drunk drivers, working with the Explorers (a police program for youth) to keep young adults clean, as well as arresting the most drunk driving offenders on his unit during his regular shifts. Yay, Pat for keeping our roads safe! Hats off to you!

Skiing, and Talking, and Potty Trianing, Oh My!
Sully has been VERY BUSY!! Last weekend we taught him to ski! (Mom forgot the camera--oops!) He used Mom and Dad as poles; but he skied down the bunny hill on skis a couple dozen times, smiling ear-to-ear and signing for more!!
The little guy is pretty well potty trained as well! At only one-and-half, it seems to be nothing short of amazing!
His language seems to be taking off too. This week, he told us that Liam says, "a-goo." When his train ran out of batteries, his, "choo-choo bwok." The stool sample vials we got for Liam at the doctor's office were for, "baby boop." We think it's especially cute, though not very grown-up, that he calls his blankie his, "goo-goo," and his favorite food is, "boobies" (blueberries, of course!). He's also started kissing everything he loves. Every time we see a baby or animal, he makes a kissy noise in their direction. The other day, he was naming and kissing Liam's body parts as we changed his diaper. It sounded something like this, "Nose--mmmwa! Mouth--mmmwa! Pee-pee--," "No, Sully we don't kiss that!"
Liam is talking and smiling away. It is so fun to see him responding to us! He's almost doubled his weight at only two-and-half months! He's looking like mini-jabba-the-hut :)
