First Snow

"Hey Mom! Look it snowed!!"
I chased them out the door with hats and boots!

Fall Fun!

The boys thought jumping in the leaves was a hoot! I think they could have stayed out there all afternoon.

Later that evening, we had a bonfire to burn all the random branches found in the yard. This was one of their first bonfires of the year as it is finally dark enough for a bonfire before their bedtime! Surprisingly, they were more interested in running around in the dark than making s'mores (who's kids are these anyway!!).

Halloween Monsters

A little chocolate, some Peanut Butter, Chinese noodles, and "m's" (as Liam says) for eyes. Lots of edible monsters and two lickable, kissable ones :)

Halloween

So, I didn't get a shot of them together. But, still they're pretty cute. Even cuter was Sully telling people that he was, "Big Birdy!"

Wizard of Oz Night!

Pizza, pop, and popcorn were had by all! Sully LOVED it (but pooped out before the scary monkey part!).
This movie will always have a place in my heart. The look on Sully's face when Dorothy stepped out of her house is Oz was priceless.

The Unusal Suspects!

On the way out of the grocery store one afternoon, Sully and I spotted a nickle machine with fake mustaches in it. We had an idea!
When we arrived home, we prepared dinner and waited for Daddy to arrive home. Needless to say, Pat found some very unusual suspects at his table! (Too bad no one caught me in my 'stach on camera!)

Charley Chapman and the cowboy!

A close-up of the cowboy.

The hungarian.

Rhett Butler, the hungarian, and the cowboy all together!

The Apple Orchard

We visited Minnetonka Orchards this year. I think it is quickly replacing Minnesota Harvest as our favorite orchard.
Sully and Liam got such a kick out of these goats on the roof at the apple orchard! So funny!

Here they are in the, "corn crib." What a couple of hams!

Sully on the Two Wheel Bike!

A few weeks ago, Sully's training wheel kept twisting up. The bolt needed tightening. Of course, I didn't tell HIM that! "Hmm. Looks like your training wheel broke." We took the training wheels off. Over the next few weeks, we went for a couple of, "bike rides." Sully strattled the bike and pushed it with his feet while I walked. After a few times, he became very good at balancing and could push with his feet, then coast a ways. Then came the challenge, "I bet you can't pedal that bike like a big boy." It took him 15 minutes. He's barely three and riding around like a madman!! Love how much more freedom he has, though! He can ride so much faster and is actually wiping out less--training wheels really suck sometimes!! He just giggles and grins ear-to-ear so proud of himself!!

Birthday Party!

Sully is three! We had a fabulous party with our friends and family! Thanks to everyone who attended for your good company, gifts, food, and help manning the unruly children!!
(Check out my Lightning McQueen cake! Can you believe I MADE this cake?!!!)

The Liam Face

Liam has started making this hilarious face when he's mad, frustrated, or when we say, "smile." Wrinkles up his nose, makes fishy lips, and when he's really into it, he squints his eyes and breathes real hard in and out through his lips. What a funny guy!

Duluth

We booked a cabin in Duluth when Pat got a number for the Duluth half marathon. While training, he injured himself and decided not to run; we figured we'd make a mini-vacation out of it! We saw the largest waterfall in Wisconsin, did some hiking, swam at the beach, fished, and had many-a guitar-strumm'in, s'more-eat'in campfires!

Singing in the Rain

Warm weather + rain - lightning = lots of little boy fun!!

Dirt Ball Liam

While planting strawberries, Liam ate some dirt, a strawberry the size of his head (in one bite, of course), and some more dirt. Then, he sat down to take a rest.
That smile? PRICELESS!

Liam at Choo Choo Bob's

We took the boys to Choo Choo Bob's tonight and Liam's reaction to the trains was hilarious!

Poop on the Potty!!

Yay, Liam!!

Liam

In nothing but a hat and his blankie!

Liam, Our "Challenged Child"

Liam has decided that he MUST wear his brothers rain coat, his froggy galoshes, and his bike helmet at all times. He's quite a site; looks a bit like a mentally challenged child. Here he is in partial get-up.

Sully and Liam at the Farmer's Market

"Oh look, Sully, they're selling brats!"
"What are brats for, Mamma?"
"What are brats for, Sully?"
"For buns, Mom!"

The Bahamas!

Our family enjoyed a little Spring get-away to the Bahamas! We were joined by my parents and sisters, and their boy friends. All had a wonderful time on The Island! We enjoyed fresh conch, and "red snappa", swam with the dolphins, took lingering walks along the beach collecting small treasures, did some very serious construction work on the beach, and felt the ocean tickle our toes as the waves rushed in. What a trip! Here are some of our better pics.

No, the ocean was not THAT turquoise--it was more brilliant in person!!

Thanks Mom and Dad, for helping us get there!

Liam Talking and Some Videos

Liam has starting talking recently! He says, "mama", "dada", "doe" (dog), and "ba" (ball). He's also doing a good amount of signing, mostly "please", "eat", "drink", and "candy" (yes, he signs candy).

Here's the latest and greatest from Sully and Liam. Happy spring everyone!

Liam Eating

Okay, so my voice on this video is lame...but Liam is oh so cute!!

Jill's Birthday

In January (I know, I know, it's February!) we had a birthday party for Jill at our house. We baked her a chocolate cake, made her wear the birthday hat, and everything! Here are some funny pics of the event.

Dance Parties!

Sully and Liam LOVE having dance parties! We get out the dress-up clothes and instruments, put on Pandora's bubble gum oldies, and party down! Here's a good shot of Liam. Drag in his future???

Haven't Posted in a While!

We've been so busy! Here's the latest and greatest:

Liam is running all over the place now! He has started blowing kisses, waving good-bye, doing the "Wheels on the Bus," and showing us where some of his body parts are. So cute! He also LOVES to dance. He had everyone at IHOP in hysterics with his dancing the other day while we waited for a table. Our name was called and the little guy was gett'in down so hard, he refused to come with us. Just kept bopp'in along with a silly little grin on his face! So cute!

Sully is reading some words. He is definitely two and a half, as we constantly hear, "I do it myself!" as he undoes whatever we've just done to do just that!

Pat is enjoying a trip to South Carolina to see our friend Teeny Gentile get married. He's staying in a big house with a pool, and complained just before leaving that he, "couldn't even pack pants because it's so warm there." Any sympathy??? He's been working lots and spending lots of time with his little boys.

I enjoyed a wonderful surprise Valentine's massage before Pat left and am looking forward to a day off of scrap booking when he returns. Until then, the boys and I are trying to enjoy the gloomy warm up here in Minnesota by puddle jumping :)
